Peg City Showcase Rules
The Peg City Showcase is a competitive event that highlights the talents of youth basketball teams. Adherence to the rules is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the competition.

Club Basketball League (CBL) Rules
The CBL provides a structured environment for young athletes to develop their basketball skills while competing at a high level. The following rules are in place to ensure a competitive and fair league.

Please ensure you familiarize yourself with the rules before participating in either league. These guidelines help maintain the high standards of competition and sportsmanship that Peg City Basketball is known for.
Players, Coaches, Officials, and Spectators
It's essential that everyone involved in the game, including players, coaches, spectators, and officials, understands their role in promoting a respectful environment.
Players:
- Treat opponents, coaches, officials, and teammates with respect, both on and off the court.
- Refrain from using derogatory language and gestures, or engaging in any other form of disrespectful behaviour, including taunting, trash-talking, or physical aggression.
- Follow the rules and regulations of the game and respect the decisions of the officials.
- Be a positive role model and encourage your teammates to do the same.
*Trash talk, arguing calls, and excessive rough play will not be tolerated.
Coaches:
- Set the tone for respect by modeling positive behaviour.
- Reinforce the importance of respect in sports to your players.
- Ensure that your players understand and follow the rules and regulations of the game.
- Hold your players accountable for their actions, both on and off the court.
- Encourage your team to compete with passion while upholding respect for opponents, officials, and spectators.
- Foster an environment where mistakes are seen as opportunities to learn and grow, rather than sources of frustration or blame.
*Arguing calls and abuse of officials will not be tolerated.
Spectators:
- Show support and enthusiasm for both teams, creating a positive and uplifting environment.
- Respect the decisions made by officials, understanding that they play a crucial role in the game.
- Avoid interfering with the game in any way.
- Follow the rules and regulations of the facility where the game is being played.
- Refrain from engaging in any form of negative behavior, including derogatory remarks, taunting, or disrespecting players, coaches, or officials.
- Remember that your behaviour has a significant impact on the players and the overall experience for everyone involved.
*Negative comments directed towards anyone will not be tolerated.
Officials:
- Be fair and impartial in your decisions.
- Follow the rules and regulations of the game.
- Communicate with players and coaches respectfully.
- Enforce rules consistently and firmly.
- Address any instances of unsportsmanlike conduct promptly and appropriately.
*Officials along with Gym Supervisors can issue Zero Tolerance Technical Fouls. If a team receives 2 such fouls the game will be considered a forfeit by the offending team.
